TXU bilingual communications specialist position in Dallas

Job summary: Responsible for 24/7 interaction with the news media, including responses to and interviews with TV, radio and print media as well as bloggers and other social media outlets. This includes development of communications strategies and messages, preparation of a wide variety of written materials, researching trends and public issues, cultivation of relationships with appropriate members of the media, preparation of information and facilitation of interviews with executives and subject matter experts. Will serve as a company spokesperson. Take the lead to independently develop initiatives to proactively generate positive news stories and minimize negative coverage for the company. Candidate must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
